About HSBC UK Ready Set Ride
HSBC UK Ready Set Ride is a simple learn to ride programme for kids aged 18 months to eight years, created by British Cycling together with the Youth Sport Trust. We want schools and families to introduce pedalling to playtime and be part of a child's learn to ride journey, helping them to become confident and happy cyclists for life.

Three simple stages.
You don't need bikes to get started.
Can easily be delivered by teachers and school staff without training.
Focuses on the fundamental movements required to gain coordination, balance and confidence.

The folder of 32 activity cards provides an 'out-of-the-box' lesson plan, offering simple guides to playing over 20 fun games. Each of the cards has a corresponding video on, so you can see what it looks like and play as an example to your class.

There are certificates and stickers to reward pupils as they complete each of the activity challenges and have breakthrough moments, like gliding on a balance bike for the first time. Plus you can easily reach out to parents to let them know about delivery with a bright and colourful letter for each pupil to take home.

Need equipment?
If your school would be interested in buying bikes and helmets, please visit Ridgeback Kids. You can explore a range of equipment at specially discounted prices, with delivery and ongoing support from a local bike shop.
