Published to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Youth Sport Trust this resource contains copies of the original cards from the renowned TOP Sport programme which was developed in 1996.This unique gem of heritage showcases the forward thinking and innovation of the Trust over its 20 year journey. Covering activities across eight of the most popular school sports, the resource offers a variety of fun, engaging and easy to set up sessions for KS2, still relevant to practitioners and young people 20 years on.They sets were developed in association with National Governing Bodies of Sport so they could be used by both teachers and children, offer a wide variety of linked activities and include games that can be set up quickly and easily. Sports include basketball, cricket, football, hockey, netball, tag rugby, table tennis and tennis.
They were designed so that they:

The cards are linked and move through three levels which are marked on the front of each card by a different coloured margin as follows:Light green - Easier activities to organise playMedium green - Games to improve common skills and principles - Dark green - Small sided games involving teamwork moving towards the mini-game of the sport.
